Bill “Rooster” Head got into the transportation industry at an early age as a truck driver and owner operator.

In the early 80’s he bought several more Power Units and started Bill Head Trucking, operating primarily as a refrigerated transportation company.

In 2001, after many years of hard work and dedication, Bill Head and his wife bought out another transportation company and founded Royal Freight, L.P. and soon became one of the leading transportation companies in the South Texas area.

Sheri Head, Bill’s wife, has been involved with Royal Freight, L.P. since its inception. She aggressively became involved in the finance and operations side of the business, to eventually become its majority partner. She has successfully led the company and oversaw its expansion up to its current size.

Since the passing of her husband, Royal Freight, L.P. is a successful Woman-Owned Transportation Company with state of the art equipment that  employs a highly diverse group of drivers, office staff, and maintenance personnel to service a wide range of customers throughout the United States, parts of Canada, and Northern Mexico.
